Lane admitted to having too much attention by the dev team if they wanted to fix problems and not communicate with the players and that the patches were already being put out by a few guys. Totodater, he believes that the devs are gaining the right balance between patch release and testing time, and explains that more resources and the opening of the games are steps to improving the patch experience. Lane explains that live game is the first priority for the devs, though new content is in the pipeline. The focus is whether it be adding more games, adding more activities for the early and mid-game players and avoiding the potential solution to deprive factions of territory control. He also notes that the island of New World is not necessarily the only land player that will see in the game; yet another feature that’s new – expeditions, new quests, and new dynamic events are developing. Finally, he discussed a few quality-of-life features that are being discussed, such as the ability to look through character inventory while on the run, adding more quest and crafting markers and creating a group finder for expeditions.
