Tomohiko Hirano, creator of NEO: The World Ends With You, told Nintendo Life that there could be a sequel next year if enough fans raise their funds for it. The only downside is that as of now, nobody has decided a thing about future installments, as there’s not much in the works at this moment. Hirano said not yet anything was changed in terms of a next installment. Nevertheless, as a game based on a real city, there are still many areas that we can’t survive through the games, so some people want to do that with a bit of a degree. If players tell us about their passions for the game, our company may decide to let us take a break. On Sunday, Tatsuya Kando said he’d continue listening to fan’s thoughts and emotions on social media and other proper channels about a novel in The World Ends With You. Whether it contains the same characters as the previous two entries or do it with entirely new players, Square Enix’s would love to hear.
