The company launched the online version of Dynasty Warriors in November in Japan. While it would also release the game in 2010 and 2012 on the PS3, it is now only possible to play the game on the PS4 in the active console. The English version of the game Dragons was also available, albeit shorter than Japanese versions. Aeria Games launched a localization of online games in the West in November 2010. However, it shut down the English version on January 1, 2014. Meanwhile, Japanese release continues to receive updates and rehauls. A new update was introduced to games like Dynasty Warriors Online Z, and the game has been expanded to a new name for the first time since June. In November 2017 one more major upgrade changed the character models to the ones inDynasty Warriors 8. In the end, Koei Tecmo would add Xin Xianying, and new exclusive weapon moves. The match ended its 14th anniversary in November 2021. While the primary team at Omega Force is currently working onDynasty Warriors 9: Empires for consoles, Koei Tecmo has also run a few free-to-play mobile titles in Japan. The sequel to the upcoming movie, Dynasty Warriors: Unleashed, is a mobile game from Nexons Dynasty Warriors 8, but still plays in Japan now. Koei Tecmo launched its own mobile game called afterDoveswitch 9 in March 2021. Dynasty Warriors Online Z is available in Japan from February 24 to December 21st.
