A total of 8 million dollars is being raised in four projects to target 680 households. Five communities will be affected, among them four Indigenous communities. In Alberta, ATG Arrow Technology Group Limited Partnership is a service provider receiving money for three projects. The money is allocated to the Wekoqmaq First Nation and Seaside Communications Inc. in Nova Scotia for the remaining project. All funds were provided when the companies submitted their reports describing the project, the plans and the costs to the CRTC. The money is now all from the Broadband Fund, which funds projects that improve infrastructure that provides wireless Internet access. Since its launch in 2019, the funds have committed 186.5 million dollars. This has improved broadband access in 160 communities in Canada. Source: CRTC.
