Dark Horse has steadily expanded its Critical Role franchise over the past several years, with multiple comics series and The Mighty Nein Origins line of graphic novels. Although most of these books explore the early adventures of many Critical Role characters, the Tales of Exandria is quite a follow-up to the three films seen on the show. The Mighty Nein Origins is an original volume, which covers Jester Lavorre, Caleb Widogast, Yasha Nydoorin and Nott the Brave. According to the official description of the novel, the artist was used to “Grand up an orphanage on the Menagerie Coast” and Fjord Stone never kept in touch with the assumptions that people had drawn from his half-orc heritage. His sweet, sensitive nature won’t do him anything in Damali. Luckily, a chance meeting makes Fjord stand with a job, a mentor, and more adventure than he ever could ever dream of on the path that will eventually lead him to the rest of the mighty-nivein” Critical Role: The Mighty Nein Origins Fjord Stone is going to be released on July 13, 2022 in the comic stores.
