The game jam runs through December, the 31st of December being the last day to submit. With 83 developers signing up, some incredible projects are expected to be submitted. At that stage, Nightblade and others created a active and growing community made out of blind gamers and developers who work together to make these projects happen. I hope you can support this project by tweeting, or by sharing it with people you think you would interest in participating or testing the games. You can also use the hashtag #GamesForBlindGamers to spread awareness. Good audio and sound have always been important in video games, but the effects on blind people are essential. The thrill of creating games for blind gamers is a unique challenge, from the use of Stereo sound and audio queues to controller feedback and vibrations. This jam is set to transcend the boundaries of what we expect from a video game and then create an incredible set of games for any individual to enjoy.
